আসানসোলের ধ্রুবজ্যোতি এবার আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রম সংস্থা (ILO) তে। আনন্দ গোপাল মুখার্জি , সুকুমার ব্যানার্জির পর এই তরুণ তুর্কি ধ্রুবজ্যোতি মিশ্র।

১৮ ও ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৫ তারিখে আইএলও (আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রম সংস্থা)-এর দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার সদর দফতর দিল্লির পক্ষ থেকে দিল্লিতে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সভা ও কর্মশালা আয়োজিত হয়েছিল। নতুন ও ঐতিহাসিক কর্মসূচি “ভারতের তরুণ শ্রমিক ও ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন রূপান্তর” নিয়ে এই সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এই কর্মসূচির মূল লক্ষ্য হলো ট্রেড ইউনিয়নগুলিতে তরুণ নেতাদের শক্তিশালী করা এবং তাদের কৌশলগত দূরদর্শিতা ও পরিস্থিতি বিশ্লেষণ করার ক্ষমতা বাড়ানো, যাতে ট্রেড ইউনিয়নগুলিতে তরুণ শ্রমিকদের অংশগ্রহণ ও সম্পৃক্ততা বৃদ্ধি পায়।
দীর্ঘদিন পর, আমাদের আসানসোল, রানিগঞ্জ ও দুর্গাপুর শিল্পাঞ্চল থেকে প্রয়াত আনন্দ গোপাল মুখার্জী এবং প্রয়াত সুকুমার বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের (INTUC) পর, আসানসোল এর কোনো তরুণ ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন নেতা ILO (আইএলও)-র কোনো কর্মসূচিতে যোগ দেওয়ার এবং ভারতের বিভিন্ন খাতের শ্রমিকদের জন্য নীতি প্রণয়নের “খসড়া কমিটির” (Drafting Committee) সদস্য হওয়ার সুযোগ পেলেন।
N F I T U (এন এফ আই টি ইউ)-এর রাজ্য সম্পাদক এবং (আরসিএমসি) Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Congress, RCMC (NFITU) ECL -এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক শ্রী ধ্রুবজ্যোতি মিশ্রকে ,ILO (আই. এল. ও)-র এই নতুন কর্মসূচির জন্য খসড়া কমিটির সদস্য হিসেবে নির্বাচিত করা হয়েছে। এই ঐতিহাসিক নীতি নির্ধারণী অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এনএফআইটিইউ-এর প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেন, যেখানে ভারতের আরও ১০টি কেন্দ্রীয় ট্রেড ইউনিয়নের প্রতিনিধিরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। তিনি বলেন, আমাদের রাজ্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে দুজন কেন্দ্রীয় ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন নেতা এই সুযোগ পেয়েছেন— একজন এনএফআইটিইউ-এর পুরুষ এবং অন্যজন ইউটিইউসি-এর কলকাতা থেকে আসা একজন মহিলা নেত্রী।
জেনেভার আইএলও কর্মকর্তা মি. মাইকেল যখন তরুণ নেতাদের ভাবনা সম্পর্কে জানতে চান, তখন শ্রী ডি.জে. মিশ্র উপনিষদের শ্লোগ “সর্বে ভবন্তু সুখিনঃ সর্বে সন্তু নিরাময়াঃ সর্বে ভদ্রাণী পশ্যন্তু মা কশ্চিদ দুঃখ ভাবভবেৎ” উদ্ধৃত করেন। তিনি শ্রম আদালতগুলির চাপের আগে বিভিন্ন সংগঠিত ক্ষেত্রে ‘সংরক্ষিত শ্রমিক’ (Protected Workmen) সম্পর্কিত শিল্প আইন ৩৩(৪) এবং অন্যান্য শ্রম আইনকে উপেক্ষা করার প্রবণতা নিয়েও আলোচনা করেন।
১৮ তারিখ সন্ধ্যায়, দিল্লির ইন্ডিয়া ইন্টারন্যাশনাল সেন্টারে ১১টি কেন্দ্রীয় ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন আইএলও-র ব্যুরো ফর ওয়ার্কার্স অ্যাক্টিভিটিস (এসিটিআরএভি)-এর পরিচালক মারিয়া হেলেনা আন্দ্রে-এর অবসর উপলক্ষে একটি বিদায় সংবর্ধনার আয়োজন করে। সেখানে কেন্দ্রীয় স্তরের ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন নেতারা যেমন আইএনটিইউসি-এর শ্রী জি. সঞ্জীভা রেড্ডি, বিএমএস-এর শ্রী অশোক সিং, এইচএমএস-এর শ্রী হরভজন সিং সিধু এবং আরও অনেক শীর্ষ নেতা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এনএফআইটিইউ-এর পক্ষ থেকে শ্রী ডি.জে. মিশ্র, ভেল থেকে শ্রীমতী জয়ন্তী এবং তামিলনাড়ু থেকে শ্রী বালা এই অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নেন।
আজ ২০ সেপ্টেম্বর, শ্রী মিশ্র আসানসোলে ফিরেছেন এবং এই বিষয়ে তার প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেন…
“আমি অত্যন্ত গর্বের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে, সম্প্রতি দিল্লিতে অনুষ্ঠিত আইএলও-র সভায় যুবকদের নিয়ে একটি অনন্য এজেন্ডার জন্য নীতি প্রণয়নের খসড়া কমিটিতে কাজ করার সম্মান পেয়েছি। ভারতের ১১টি জাতীয় ট্রেড ইউনিয়নের জন্য আয়োজিত এই দু’দিনের কর্মশালাটি (১৮-১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৫) একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নতুন এজেন্ডা ‘ভারতের তরুণ শ্রমিক ও ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন রূপান্তর’-এর ওপর আলোকপাত করেছে, যা প্রথমবারের মতো হয়েছে।
আমি আমাদের কেন্দ্রীয় নেতৃত্ব ডঃ দীপক জয়সওয়াল জি, ডঃ বিরাট জয়সওয়াল জি, শ্রী বুম্বা মুখার্জী , এনএফআইটিইউ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্যের সকল সদস্য, ইসিএল-এর কয়লা শ্রমিক, আরসিএমসি (রাষ্ট্রীয় কোলিয়ারি মজদুর কংগ্রেস)-এর সদস্য এবং এনএফআইটিইউ-এর অন্যান্য সকল নেতা ও সদস্যদের প্রতি আন্তরিক কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করছি আমাকে এই দায়িত্বে বিশ্বাস করার জন্য। এই সুযোগটি সম্পূর্ণ এনএফআইটিইউ দলের কঠোর পরিশ্রম, সমর্থন এবং উৎসর্গের প্রমাণ।”
Asansol’s Dhrubojyoti Mishra Named to “Drafting Committee” at Historic ILO Workshop On September 18th & 19th, 2025, the ILO (International Labour Organization) meeting & workshop was organized in Delhi by its South Asia headquarters officials. The event focused on the new and historical agenda “Young Workers and Trade Union Transformation in India” with the goal of strengthening and supporting young leaders in trade unions to undertake strategic foresight and scenario mapping, and to increase the participation and engagement of young workers.
After a long period, and after the late Ananda Gopal Mukherjee and late Sukumar Banerjee of INTUC, a youth Trade union leader from our Asansol, Raniganj, Durgapur industrial belt has gotten the opportunity to attend an ILO meeting and serve as a “Drafting Committee” member for policy-making on an ILO agenda concerning laborers in different sectors of India.
Shri Dhrubojyoti Mishra, the NFITU State Secretary of West Bengal & G.S. of RCMC (NFITU) ECL, was selected as a Drafting Committee member for the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) new initiative. He represented NFITU alongside representatives from 10 other central trade unions of India in this historic policy-making event for youth. He stated that from our state of West Bengal, two central trade union leaders got the opportunity: one male from NFITU and one female leader from UTUC in Kolkata.
In response to a question about the thoughts of young leaders, asked by Mr. Mical, an ILO official from Geneva, Mr. D.J. Mishra recited the slogan from the Upanishads: “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah Sarve Santu Niramayah Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu Ma Kaschid Dukha Bhavbhavet”. He also discussed the prevalent ignorance of labor acts like “Protected Workmen” ID Act Section 33(4) and others in various organized sectors, even under the pressure of labor courts.
On the evening of the 18th, all 11 central trade unions organized a farewell party at the India International Centre, Delhi, for Maria Helena Andre, the Director of the ILO Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV), who was retiring. Top central-level trade union leaders such as Sri G. Sanjeeva Reddy of INTUC, Sri Ashok Singh of BMS, Sri Harbhajan Singh Siddhu of HMS, and many others were present. On behalf of NFITU, Mr. D.J. Mishra, Mrs. Jayanyi of BHEL, and Mr. Bala from Tamilnadu attended the event.
Today, September 20th, Mr. Mishra returned to Asansol and gave his statement. He said…
“I’m incredibly proud to announce that I had the honor of serving on the Drafting Committee for policy-making on a unique agenda for youth at the recent ILO meet in Delhi. This two-day workshop for all 11 national trade unions of India, held on September 18-19, 2025, focused on the critical new Agenda: ‘Young Workers and Trade Union Transformation in India,’ for the first time.
I want to sincerely thank our central leadership Dr. Deepak Jaiswal ji, Dr. Virat Jaiswal ji, Sri Bumba Mukherjee da, all of NFITU West Bengal State, the Coal Workers of ECL, RCMC (Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Congress) members, and all other leaders & members of NFITU for trusting me with this responsibility.
